The Justice and Advocacy Network is conducting a service of worship just after Refugee Week, on Sunday 3 July at 5pm at the Ivanhoe Uniting Church. We will be focusing on the plight of Syrian refugees throughout the world. This is the biggest diaspora in human history. The preacher will be Rev Ian Smith, the Executive Officer of the Victorian Council of Churches.
After the service, there will be meal using ingredients from the Ration Challenge. The after dinner speaker will be Ben Fraser, international program co-ordinator for Act for Peace, who has visited refugee camps in Jordan and Gaza several times. Diners are invited to make a donation to the Ration Challenge.
RSVP to Marion Edwards by 26 June on 9499 4409 or firstname.lastname@example.org
